Marquardt Mini-Ergo
Marquardt Linear Switches, Double-Injection Molded Keycaps, 1992
The Marquardt Mini-Ergo was the first ever ergonomic keyboard in an affordable price range, produced for the mass market. At the initial launch prince of 350 DM it was sold at about only a third of what the other ergonomic keyboards of that time were going for.
Like most ergonomic keyboards of the 90s, the Marquardt is now only a collector's piece and hard to find.
The keycaps are double-injection molded and fully compatible and interchangeable with Cherry MX keycaps. The Marquardt linear switches feel similar to Cherry MX Black switches, but do not seem to age just as well. The ones on my sample feel kinda stiff and not nearly as smooth as a Cherry switch.
