Goldtouch Keypad
Cherry MX Brown, Pad-printed keycaps, 2008
I am not sure when these were first made, but I'm pretty confident they are kinda recent. The PCB suggests mine was made in 2008.
The Goldtouch Keypad comes with a total of 22 Keys and offers access to an additional layer of characters and functions with the FN key. The special symbols accessed in this way do not send a scancode, but rather generate the symbols with virtual Alt codes using Unicode.
The Cherry MX Brown switches on this keypad are plate mounted and use Cherry Corp. style stabilizers. A very sturdy construction. Two USB ports let you use the keypad as a basic USB Hub. The keypad uses its own system independent lock-state, meaning it can be used alongside a normal full-size keyboard without interfering with your main keyboards Num-Lock.
