Cherry Programmable Keypad G80-3700 LQAUS
Cherry MX Black, Laser-etched keycaps, 2008

This is a modern variant of Cherry's keypad flagship G80-3700 or MX3700. Originally these keypads were fully programmable and offered advanced macro recording and playback on hardware level. While being available to the market for almost 20 years by now, some of these features were lost over the years. The full programming mode, also known as "Mode 4", is no longer found on modern variants of the MX3700. All keys can still be programmed by software using Cherry Tools, but only the four extra function keys can be programmed on hardware level and are saved in the keypad's internal memory.

The keypad connects via PS2 plug and needs to be connected as the main keyboard. If you want to use the hardware based programming features, you have to plugin another keyboard into the built-in PS2 port. The G80-3700 comes with three or four different modes, depending on the exact model. Depending on which mode you pick, the keypad can either sync with your main keyboard's Numlock status or use its own independent lock.

By default the numpad is shipped with PCB mounted Cherry MX Black switches and can therefore be easily modded by spring swapping. The keypad is of a decent build quality and only available with a PS2 plug. The older, fully programmable variant still comes with a DIN5 plug, but is much harder to find nowadays.
