G80-1800 HFU (Modded by me)
Cherry MX Blue, Double-injection molded keycaps, 1998
This is the second G80-1800HFU that I own. This one came in a very damaged case with missing keycaps, so I decided to entirely swap it. The case was taken from a G81-1800 and the keycaps from a G80-8000. To make up for the missing keycaps I replaced a few of them with the Cherry Glow-In-The-Dark keycaps from the Raptor K1.
The controller has been replaced with an Aikon controller. The keyboard is therefore fully programmable. It currently does not have N-Key rollover, but thanks to the Aikon controller it could easily be added with a few diodes.
Since most of the keycaps from the G80-8000 were extremely shiny, I decided to use my Korean IOMania double-injection keycaps on this board.
To finish it all off I added one of my Cherry silver logo stickers.
