G80-1800HAD (Modded)
Cherry MX Black (with modified springs), Double-injection molded keycaps, 1994
This is another board I heavily modified:
- Changed case to Raptor Gaming K1 case
- Replaced controller with G81-8308 controller
- Replaced Cherry MX Black springs with OTD 52g springs
- Added OTD switch stickers
Overall this is by now one of my favorite boards for daily usage. The OTD 52g springs make Cherry Blacks feel smooth like butter and greatly improve the feel. The controller of the G81-8308 is supposed to give me access to 9 layers of programmable F keys once, but so far the programming is not entirely working yet.
