Cherry G80-1824 HCU Scitex
Cherry MX Clear, Double-Injection Molded Keycaps, 1994
Made in 1994, this one is a rare keyboard in a couple of aspects. First of all it uses Cherry MX clear switches, which are quite uncommon in non POS keyboards. Besides that the keyboard does not use the vintage Cherry bi-color color-scheme. All keycaps are ivory colored.
I don't know much about the origin of this keyboard. It seems that Scitex was an Israel based company producing big printing machines. I assume this keyboard came with one of their machines.
To my surprise the PCB mounted Cherry MX Clear switches feel quite nice. A lot more tactile than Cherry MX Brown and not too stiff. These seem rather unpopular with most people. I guess their fingers are simply to weak to handle these manly switches. Wussies!
